چکیده

1. Introduction Constrained orientations, that is orientations such that all the vertices have a prescribed indegree, relates to one another many combinatorial and topological properties such as arboricity, connectivity and planarity. These orientations are the basic tool to solve planar augmentation problems 2]. We are concerned with two classes of planar graphs: maximal planar graphs (i.e. polyhedral graphs, triangulations) and maximal bipartite planar graphs (i.e. bipartite planar graphs with quadrilateral faces). For these graphs we consider constrained orientations with a constant indegree for the internal vertex set. We recall or prove new fundamental relations between these orientations, speciic tree decompositions and bipolar orientations. In particular, these relations yield linear time computation algorithms. Using these orientations, we give a characterization of 4-connected maximal planar graphs and 3-connected planar graphs, which lead to very simple linear time algorithms.

Algebraic and topological aspects of quasi-prime ideals

In this paper, we define the new notion of quasi-prime ideal which generalizes at once both prime ideal and primary ideal notions. Then a natural topology on the set of quasi-prime ideals of a ring is introduced which admits the Zariski topology as a subspace topology. The basic properties of the quasi-prime spectrum are studied and several interesting results are obtained. Specially, it is pro...

Equivariant Orientation Theory

We give a long overdue theory of orientations of G-vector bundles, topological G-bundles, and spherical G-fibrations, where G is a compact Lie group. The notion of equivariant orientability is clear and unambiguous, but it is surprisingly difficult to obtain a satisfactory notion of an equivariant orientation such that every orientable G-vector bundle admits an orientation. Our focus here is on...

Language and Identity in the Iranian Context: The Impact of Identity Aspects on EFL Learners' Achievement

Identity orientations refer to the relative importance that individuals place on various identity attributes or characteristics such as race, religion, culture and language when constructing their self-definitions (Chew, 2007; Cheek, 1989). Accordingly, the present study aims at identifying the impact of identity aspects on the Iranian learners' English language achievements at Shiraz Universit...

Functionalization of the Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes by Sulfur Dioxide and Electric Field Effect, a Theoretical Study on the Mechanism

In this study, kinetics and mechanism of the sulfur dioxide adsorption on the single-walled carbon nanotubes (CNT) are investigated. Three single-walled carbon nanotubes, including the armchair (6,6), chiral (6,5) and zigzag (6,0) CNTs were chosen as the models and the different orientations of SO2 molecule relative to the CNT axis were considered. The B3LYP functional within the 6-3...
